George S.J. Anderson dedicated forty-two years of his life to nursing, a career marked by compassion, excellence, and recognition. Honored as Nurse of the Year in 2000 and awarded Outstanding Clinical Nurse for District 2 in Maryland, his professional journey reflects a deep commitment to caring for others during their most vulnerable times.

Alongside his nursing career, George nurtured a lifelong passion for writing that began at the age of fourteen. His poetry gained early recognition, with his first award in 1974 and subsequent publications in numerous collections. Over the years, he expanded from poetry to short stories, publishing with respected outlets such as Oncology Nursing Press and Chicken Soup.

Today, George is the proud author of three books: Seasons In Cancer, Sunset under the Poet’s Tree, and Travelling through the Ancient Stones. Each work blends his professional insights, personal experiences, and artistic creativity, offering readers stories and poetry that are soulful, courageous, and deeply human.
